For students of Illinois, there are 2 times a year that really get their juices flowing. These times are so powerful and carry such an impact on their lives. Two words: Momentum and Breakaway.
Momentum is our fall youth convention held in Springfield, IL. Breakaway is the youth summer camp. Both are hosted by the Illinois District Council of the Assemblies of God and the Illinois Student Ministry department of the IDCAG. Great music, worship, fellowship and most importantly, the Word.
It’s so easy to get all pumped up and filled up and prayed up at these events. Worshiping with hundreds to thousands of other young people is exciting. Being together, in one place, united in purpose, glorifying God. What better time could there possibly be?
It would be so easy to come home, though, and return to life as normal, without any second thought to the experience and how that can change the way we live.
Momentum was over a month ago. I have neglected to post any pictures from that amazing weekend and I want to take this time to correct that problem.
