Perhaps God…

What a day yesterday was! Let me tell you about it.

You see it actually started back a couple of weeks ago. I became aware of the fact that the youth group is in major need of a God intervention in the way of funds for our fall youth convention and our Speed the Light goal. I have been praying so hard since then about these needs.

You see, I knew we NEEDED $500 at our Top Your Tater Fundraiser to really be able to be a blessing to the families of students attending Momentum this year. But what I was praying for was $750, so that we can take an extra offering for STL with us to contribute to the goal of $29,029 ($1 for each foot of Mt. Everest).

Not only did God meet our need, He topped my goal! After taking out our expenses, we cleared $770!!

When we dare to think, “Perhaps God…” and take Mark Batterson’s advice on praying circles around the promises of God for our lives, He MORE than meets our needs. I know to some, this may not seem like much, but to us, IT’S AS BIG AS THE MOUNTAIN!
