Are You Ready For Fun Fest?

Outreach: We are excited about the annual outreach this Saturday! FUN FEST is always a great time for us to reach out of the building and into the community to show the love of God to those who need it most.
If you have volunteered to help, or maybe you didn’t but now you are available, please be at the church at noon on Saturday to help put together goodie bags and set up the parking lot.
If you have any questions, please contact Pastor Byron.

Who are you bringing back to church?

Bring them back: Some facts…
A 2012 study found that 73 percent of unchurched adults in the U.S. were never invited to church.
– The Barna Group

82 percent of the unchurched are likely to attend church if invited by a trusted friend or relative. – Dr. Thom Rainer

Only 2 percent of church-going people invite someone to church in a given year.
– Dr. Thom Rainer

A study including more than 15,000 adults revealed that about two-thirds are willing to receive information about a local church from a family member, and 56 percent from a friend or neighbor. The message is clear that the unchurched are open to conversations about church.”
– Philip Nation, LifeWay Research and National Spokesperson for Back to Church Sunday

41 percent of the formerly churched said they would return to the local church if a friend or acquaintance invited them.”

Luke 10:2 (NLT)
2 These were his instructions to them: “The harvest is great, but the workers are few. So pray to the Lord who is in charge of the harvest; ask him to send more workers into his fields.
YOU are a worker.WE are workers. It’s time for us to put the plow to the ground and bring in the harvest.

Praying for Our Brothers & Sisters in Chains
Friday, September 26, 9-10am

September 26 marks the two year anniversary of the imprisonment of American-Iranian pastor Saeed Abedini because of his faith in Jesus Christ.
All around the globe on this day, believers will gather together and pound the doors of heaven on behalf of Pastor Saeed and the persecuted church.
At GCFirst, we are going join the movement. Pastor Stacey will be at the church from 9-10am on the 26th. However, even if you can’t make it out, we encourage you to take a few minutes to stop and pray at home or at work at 9am.
